HOW DO I START GIVING MY FOOD WASTE & GET REWARDED?

Store and freeze your food waste in a container OR

Sandwich the food waste between two thick layers of mulch in an airtight container

Weigh and drop it off every weekend at our farm and reuse your container for the next week!

Don’t forget to claim your farm credits!

WHAT KINDS OF FOOD WASTE CAN I COMPOST?

Food waste SUITABLE for composting:

  • Fruit peels/rinds/scraps
  • Vegetable scraps (cooked/uncooked)
  • Eggshells (washed and dried)
  • Coffee grounds/tea leaves
  • Rice/grains/noodles
  • Stale bread
  • Cooked meat

Food waste NOT SUITABLE for composting:

  • Raw meat and eggs
  • Sticky labels on fruits and vegetables
  • Oil
